Let's Talk... Flavour Aversions

Let's Talk... Flavour Aversions

So many of us either struggle ourselves or have family that struggle with both the texture of tooth brushes and the taste of toothpaste...

I personally struggle, it almost makes me gag.  Having just been diagnosed myself at 51 as autistic and ADHD it now makes sense (& sooooo many other things).  As an adult I just push through but the struggle has been REAL to get our son to clean his teeth daily.  I don’t know how many tears we have both shed to be honest.
Many things we let slide in our neuro-diverse house, but teeth cleaning is one that, I think many would agree, isn’t such a good one to let slide.  Poor oral hygiene can lead to other health issues, pain not to mention costly dentist bills!
So… I wanted to share an amazing product we have found for our son. Now we don’t actually stock it (I guess we could ask them???) but they have an easy to navigate website and they are AUSTRALIAN - https://archie.store/
We are so excited by it I wanted to share in the hope it may actually help someone else.  They have pump pack toothpaste (I KNOW RIGHT… HOW CLEVER) in A-M-A-Z-I-N-G  flavours!  Here are our family’s favourites but there are others.  We have tried them ALL.  Even the random flavours like jasmine are quite good.  They even do refills!
Using Archie has helped reduce the teeth cleaning refusal in our home massively!  Our son also likes their bamboo tooth brushes so that’s a win too.
Other things we have found helpful over time have been the double sided tooth brushes, electric tooth brushes and water flossers.  When he was younger we used timers to help him regulate and focus while cleaning also.

If you’ve discovered any gems let me know and lets share our collective discoveries.  Sometimes knowing we are not alone in the struggles is enough!!
