The Spikey Spinner Pen has been more than a year in the making. We wanted to build strong sensory input into something many people already use every day.
At its core, it is a beautifully weighted metal ballpoint pen. But built into the top are two very different kinds of sensory input: a smooth spinner for repetitive movement, and our familiar Spikey safe ouch texture for concentrated pressure through the thumb or fingertips.
You can write with it, spin it, press into the Spikey top or simply hold the weight in your hand. That makes it a useful option for work, meetings, classrooms, study or anywhere you want sensory support that still looks like an everyday pen.
Why safe ouch?
Some people seek strong or even painful sensory input through picking, pinching, scratching, digging or biting. The aim isn’t to tell someone to simply stop seeking that sensation. It’s about having another place to direct the need.
The Spikey top is designed to provide strong, concentrated sensory input through controlled pressure. Pressing the points into the thumb or fingertips can create that intense input without needing to direct it at skin through picking or scratching behaviours.

Who might it suit?
This pen may suit teens and adults who enjoy repetitive spinning, weighted objects, strong tactile input or concentrated pressure through the fingertips.
It may also be useful for people who want a sensory tool that blends naturally into work, study or everyday environments. You don’t have to explain what it is. It is, quite literally, a pen.
Helpful to know
The spinner is quiet, not silent. You may hear a small metallic hum as it spins.
The Spikey top is deliberately designed to provide strong, concentrated sensory input when pressed into the thumb or fingertips. The textured area is relatively small, making it easy to direct that input exactly where you want it.
Like all of our safe ouch tools, it needs to be used as intended. The Spikey points are functional. If they are deliberately and repeatedly dragged or scraped across the skin rather than pressed into it, they can potentially break the skin.
For that reason, the Spikey Spinner Pen won’t suit someone who is unable or unlikely to use it as intended. For those users, a different sensory tool may be a better fit.

Safety
Press, don’t scrape. The Spikey surface is intended to be pressed into the thumb or fingertips. Do not repeatedly drag, scrape or rub the points across the skin, as this may cause skin damage or break the skin.
Do not use on broken, irritated or damaged skin. Stop use if it causes skin damage or persistent marking.
This tool is not suitable for someone who is unable to use the Spikey surface as intended.
Recommended for ages 14+. Choking hazard. Unsuitable for children under 3 years. These are not toys. Please use with adult supervision.

Typically we use Australia Post. For large parcels we may use an alternative courier carrier.

We ship to most destinations around the world. There are some set up for flat rate shipping.
EUROPE : Unfortunately EU is an exception. Customs in many EU locations have been bouncing parcels and RTS, without explanation so we have had to suspend sending to the location as the goods are just not getting through.
Please note that charges do not include any duty/taxes charged by your country's port authorities (if applicable). You will be responsible for any charges they may add. We are unable to quote these as they vary immensely from country to country.
If you country isn't setup for flat rate shipping please email us a list of the products you are interested in and your shipping information /address to orders@kaikofidgets.com and we can provide you with a quote.
Again, please remember customs and duties are the responsibility of the Customer.
Please note its coming from 'down under' & therefore parcels can take weeks (sometimes more than that) to arrive depending on location. If the parcel is urgent please select the DHL/express options (we know it's expensive, but it's not something we can control... hopefully the exchange rate conversion makes it less 'painful'& the benifit of our range makes up for it).

If an international parcel is taking longer that it should, do let us know and we will follow up with carrier. Please note we cannot resend packaged UNTIL the carrier deems it LOST, which can frustratingly take up to 21 days sometimes. This is out of our control, and i promise you, it creates as much anxiety for us as you, so please understand that when placing orders patience is needed at times. It rarely happens, but when it does, we will lodge an enquiry and follow it through until resolved.

All claims for faulty items must be made within 14 days of delivery.

Unless the goods are defective or sent in error, you will be required to pay postage with tracking to return goods. Items must be received in original, unopened condition and packaged safely so damage does not occur.
If returned goods are used or in an unsaleable condition, then your return may not be processed.
There is no return or exchange available on discounted or on sale items. IN addtion all wearable and chew supports cannot be returned if opened.

Please note for hygiene reasons we cannot accept these as returns if opened or handled as we cannot re sell them. No one wants a squishy or chew support handled by others lol. A tad ick.
For consumable items such as chew supports and squishies - Please note a warranty is not provided unless product is faulty on first opening. Please refer to each squishy product page for further info re life expectancy information.
If the goods are faulty, damaged on arrival or they have been incorrectly described we offer the choice of a refund or exchange.

RE SQUISHIES - Due to the flexible, squishy & stretchy nature of these products, it does mean they don’t last forever. It would be awesome if they did, but unfortunately they don't...
Depending on how they are used, they can last an hour, week or a year. All squishy and stretchy items are durable, but not indestructible. Squishies typically have a plug/join where they were filled. This is its most vulnerable spot, so if at all possible it is best to use this palm side in so the least amount of pressure is placed in the join. This will maximise its life.
They are not recommended for children who may try to bite, chew or ingest the contents. Avoid aggressive or excessive squishing, stretching and contact with any sharp objects.
